ONLINE INTERACTIVE BIDDING in MAIL AUCTION


Bidding Live via the Internet opens up a new approach of participating in the auction. One can view the present status of the “High Bid” and if he is the high bidder.

Mail auctions “Closing Time” have a date and an hour when all bidding stops, only bids that were submitted up to that time by mail, fax or the internet are valid.

The “Interactive Bidding” Software lets you BID In REAL TIME during the time that the sale is open from any place, all you need is to have access to the Internet. You can “Bid Live” and follow the bidding progress until closing time.

If you wish to bid, the first step is to register with the auctioneer and receive your Username and Password.

Once you have received conformation from the auctioneer, you can “enter” the auction by clicking on the “Login to Mail Auction” button on the auctioneer home page.

You can bid ONLY after logging in to the system.

Technical Requirements

  • Internet Access (Preferably broad bend)
  • Microsoft Internet Explore 5 or later, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or later, Netscape 6.0


    How to bid

    First you have to login, then click on “Show Items” and view the sale list which includes the lot description, scan (if exists) and current price.

    To place a bid enter your bid, click on the “Bid” button, you will immediately see if you are the high bidder. If your bid is not high enough you can enter a higher bid and click again on the “Bid” button. You are the high bidder when the sign “Your Bid” appears next to the item.

    Please note that bids cannot be smaller than the start price.

    You can View, add Alternative bids, Edit, delete and limit your total spending at “Edit/View My Bids”.

    The current state of the leading bids is always indicated (Current Bid).

    Internet bidding will stop at the “Closing Time”, and final results will be announced about 24 to 36 hours after closing time, to allow submitting bids, which arrived by mail or fax.

    By bidding via the Internet you are committed to the terms and conditions of the sale as published.

    Please bear in mind that on top of the winning bid price, you have to add commission, VAT, mailing & insurance.
